To liven up the wait for spring. I won't subtitle the flower. Češka koča is so close no matter where we go up. We'll meet the most mountain beauties somewhere there from mid-June to end of August. Rich selection if we go up past Umik Žrela. Right at the start on the scree and further before Umik Žrela we find these flowers, which I found in this period last year and the year before on just two hikes. Actually I found twice as many. No problem if some were already posted. The lady's slipper patches are near Davo Krničar.

For this year I'm planning three hikes from Planina Pekol around the Poljska Špiki. I like it incredibly around there. I really like the protected paths. I took this on two hikes last year and the year before.

Of course we can't skip the Valley of the Triglav Lakes. Here there are so many flowers in two summer months, that it's simply impossible to show it all.

Črna prst and crossing to Rodica is an unforgettable botanical experience. Last year I was here three times. In mid-August I even found alpine pasqueflower.

Beautiful, this year we too will visit the hills
above Neveje Pass, personally I don't see
so much beauty in flowers like Mozirski gaj,
as in a modest little flower that found its home

I always drive right up to Pekol alpine pasture, where there is a large free parking lot. The entrance to the mountain road is well marked. The serpentines are also asphalted. Greetings.

Last year I botanized the entire growing season on Krvavec and surroundings. I covered all its pastures - Jezerce, Kriška, Koren, Košutna and Dolge njive. I walked the entire Krvavec lengthwise and crosswise including Kržišče, Veliki Zvoh, Ježa ridge, Vrh Korena, Košutna, Kompotelo, Mokrica, the entire Kalški ridge with Kalška gora and Kalce. I found 160 different mountain flowers that I identified. I also have about thirty unidentified.

In spring, we must not miss auricula, Wulfenia and alpine bellflower. I found Kamniške murke on Krvavec itself, on Mokrica, Kalški ridge, Ježa ridge, Kalška gora and Dolge njive pasture. Planika is found on Ježa ridge, Mokrica ridge, Kalški ridge and Kalška gora. The rarer Kamniška ivanščica on Kalce. Alpine barčija and pink gadjak on the right side behind the fence below Veliki Zvoh summit. Not to mention numerous bellflowers and rock carlins. I present only part of the rich harvest.

I also botanized Zelenica with surroundings. I combed all pastures of Zelenica including Spodnji Plot and Triangel, also went on the path from Vrtača hut up, to Vrtača and to the source of Završnica, from Stari Ljubelj to Zelenica via Ljubeljščica, through Born's tunnels to Begunjščica and down the other side to Zelenica. I planned Palec, Zelenjak and Srednji vrh but it remained just a plan. The area was really large. These are Karavanke, where some other little flowers already grow than on Krvavec. Here I found July gentian, Obir gentianella and even black dianthus. Altogether I identified 190 flowers here, more than on Krvavec. About twenty unidentified remained. Roughly half will be presented.

It seems to me that the poets despaired with these rains and think there are no new flowers. But there are, and those are Branet's beauties. My little contribution will add a bit from Kras and Bela planina.

Oh, when will spring come,
dressed in rainbow colors of flowers,
when in my heart I'll be young again,
regardless of old years,
I'll welcome the harmony of joy,
of which there is never enough,

My dear, you really calmed me down a bit. Cico, Savinjčan, in Ljubno I spent vacations in childhood years picking berries offered by Smrekovec and Raduha...I mean: beautiful memories...nice poem- Unfortunately, not only my heart is encased in ice, but everything in the garden. How many precious little trees and shrubs won't survive???

I too spent childhood vacations in the countryside, more precisely on Žirovski vrh in Poljanska dolina, where I helped with daily farm work. We picked quite a lot of blueberries and mushrooms, of course for sale, so some dinar would jingle in the pocket.nasmeh
