Grmada (Nanos)

Description of mountain:
Grmada is a 1209-meter peak situated near the edge of the Nanos plateau, northwest of the better-known Pleša (about a 20-minute walk away). Because it lies directly above steep slopes descending toward the Vipava Valley, it offers an exceptional and unobstructed view. At the summit there is a register box with a stamp. From Grmada there is a magnificent panorama of the central part of the Nanos plateau, the Golaki, Čaven and the neighboring Karst. In clear weather and good visibility the view extends all the way to the Gulf of Trieste, the Dolomites, the Julian Alps and the nearby Snežnik.
