The mountain hut is located 5 km north-northeast from the center of Gwabl and 6 km north from the center of Alkus and 1.3 km southeast of peak Zilinkopf. The nearest peak is Barren, which is located 0.8km vzhodno-jugovzhodno. 8 km northeast from the mountain hut there is glacier Hornkees. The mountain hut is located west of the valley Debanttal.
