Description:
Barrenegg is 2952 meter high peak and is part of the Schober Group. The peak is located 5 km north-northeast from the center of Alkus and 5 km northeast from the center of Gwabl and 0.5 km east of peak Hoher Prijakt. The nearest mountain hut is Hochschoberhütte, located 1.8km northwest. A little further is Maurer Alm. 8 km northeast from the summit there is glacier Hornkees. The peak is located west of the valley Debanttal.
