Alkuser Rotspitze is 3053 meter high peak and is part of the Schober Group. The peak is located 6 km north-northeast from the center of Alkus and 6 km northeast from the center of Gwabl. The nearest mountain hut is Lienzer Hütte, located 2km north-northeast. A little further is bivouac Gösnitzkopf-Biwak. 7 km north-northeast from the summit there is glacier Hornkees. The peak is located west-southwest of the valley Debanttal.
