The nearest mountain hut is Brandenburger Haus, located 1.6km west. A little further is bivouac Ramolalm. 5 km southwest from the saddle there is glacier Langtauferer-Joch-Ferner, 6 km southwest from the saddle there is also glacier Hintereisferner. The saddle is located south of the valley Taschachtal.
