Description:
Breite Scharte is a saddle at an altitude of 2380 meters located in the Lower Tauern mountain range. The saddle is located 11 km north from the center of Lessach and 12 km north-northeast of Hintergöriach. The nearest mountain hut is Preintalerhütte, located 3km north-northeast. A little further is Kotalm. 0.7 km northeast of the saddle there is lake Kapuzinersee. The saddle is located northwest of the valley Rantengraben. The saddle is located below the ridge Klafferschneide.
