Description:
Gamsscharte is a saddle at an altitude of 2972 meters in the Zillertal Alps. The saddle is located 10 km north from the center of Predoi and 12 km south-southwest of Krimml. The nearest mountain hut is Richterhütte, located 1.6km east-southeast. A little further is bivouac Neugersdorfer Hütte. 4 km north-northeast of the saddle there is lake Unterer Gerlos See. 2 km south-southeast from the saddle there is glacier Hohenaukees, 2 km northwest from the saddle there is also glacier Zillerkees. The saddle is located east-northeast of the valley Zillergründl.
