The nearest mountain hut is Schwarzensteinhütte - Rifugio al Sasso Nero, located 1.1km northwest. Alpenverein Ahrntal is a bit further away. 2 km north from the saddle there is glacier Floitenkees, 2 km west from the saddle there is also glacier Schwarzenbachkees - Vedretta di Rio Nero.
