Description:
Mitterjoch is a saddle at an altitude of 2635 meters and is part of the Zillertal Alps. The saddle is located on the border between the country of Italy and the country of Austria. The nearest mountain hut is Kasseler Hütte, located 6km west. bivouac Neugersdorfer Hütte is a bit further away. 3 km west from the saddle there is glacier Grasleitenkees, 6 km northeast from the saddle there is also glacier Rauhkofelkees. The saddle is located above the valley Sundergrund.
