Description:
Rossruggscharte is a saddle at an altitude of 3235 meters in the Zillertal Alps. The saddle is located on the border between the country of Italy and the country of Austria. The nearest mountain hut is Chemnitzer Hütte - Rifugio Porro, located 4km south. A little further is bivouac Hochferner-Biwak. 0.8 km southwest from the saddle there is glacier Östlicher Nöfesferner - Vedretta di Neves Orientale, 1.0 km east-southeast from the saddle there is also glacier Trattenbachkees - Vedretta di Dentro. North of the saddle is the valley Zemmgrund.
