Salchenscharte

Description:
Salchenscharte is a saddle at an altitude of 2776 meters in the Stubai Alps. The saddle is located 1.6 km west-southwest of peak Breiter Grieskogel. The nearest mountain hut is Tiroler Hütte, located 3km south-southeast. A little further is bivouac Vorraum Tourismusbüro (täglich geöffnet). 1.4 km northeast from the saddle there is glacier Grasstallferner, 2 km east-northeast from the saddle there is also glacier Grieskogelferner. The saddle is located above the valley Grastal.
