Description:
Breiter Grieskogel is 3287 meter high peak and is part of the Stubai Alps. The peak is located 4 km north from the center of Gries and 5 km southeast from the center of Niederthai and 0.9 km south-southeast of peak Strahlkogel. The nearest mountain hut is Winnebachseehütte, located 3km east-southeast. A little further is bivouac Vorraum Tourismusbüro (täglich geöffnet). 0.6 km northwest from the summit there is glacier Grasstallferner, 0.6 km east-northeast from the summit there is also glacier Grieskogelferner.
