The nearest mountain hut is Furtschaglhaus, located 2km west-southwest. A little further is bivouac Hochferner-Biwak. 1.5 km southeast from the saddle there is glacier Waxeggkees, 1.8 km south from the saddle there is also glacier Furtschaglkees. The saddle is located northeast of the valley Schlegeisgrund.
