The nearest mountain hut is Schwarzensteinhütte - Rifugio al Sasso Nero, located 3km southwest. A little further is Alpenverein Ahrntal. 0.6 km south-southeast from the saddle there is glacier Tribbachkees - Vedretta Rio Torbo, 1.1 km east-northeast from the saddle there is also glacier Frankbachkees - Vedretta di Rio Franco.
