Farnbichel is 2026 meter high peak and is part of the Zillertal Alps. The peak is located 1.4 km south-southwest of peak Plattenkogel. The nearest mountain hut is Gletscherblickalm, located 1.8km north-northwest. bivouac Gämsehütte is a bit further away. 6 km south of the peak there is lake Unterer Gerlos See. 4 km south from the summit there is glacier Wildkarkees, 6 km south-southeast from the summit there is also glacier Weißkarkees.
