Filzmooshörndl is 2189 meter high peak with a cross and a summit register located in the Lower Tauern mountain range. The peak is located 1.0 km northeast of peak Spielkogel. The nearest mountain hut is Filzmoosalm, located 1.6km north-northeast. Brandeggalm is also relatively close. 4 km east-southeast of the peak there is lake Tappenkarsee. South of the summit is the valley Kleinelendtal.
