Description:
Gamsspitz is 2539 meter high peak and is part of the Zillertal Alps. The peak is located in country Austria 10 km northeast from the center of Predoi and 12 km south of Krimml and 0.5 km north of peak Schlachtertauern. The nearest mountain hut is Birnlückenhütte - Rifugio Brigata Tridentina, located 4km south-southeast. A little further is bivouac Neugersdorfer Hütte. 4 km west-southwest of the peak there is lake Eissee. 4 km west from the summit there is glacier Hohenaukees, 5 km east-northeast from the summit there is also glacier Westlicher Jaidbachkees.
