Schlachtertauern is 2750 meter high peak in the Zillertal Alps. The peak is located 1.7 km north of peak Klockerkarkopf - Vetta d'Italia. The nearest mountain hut is Richterhütte, located 4km west-northwest. Closer is bivouac Neugersdorfer Hütte, which is located 3km to the south-southwest. 4 km west-southwest of the peak there is lake Eissee. 4 km west from the summit there is glacier Hohenaukees, 5 km south-southeast from the summit there is also glacier Östliches Kerrakees.
