Description:
Breitscharte is a saddle at an altitude of 2496 meters and is part of the Zillertal Alps. The saddle is located 0.6 km southwest of peak Graukarkopf. The nearest mountain hut is Richterhütte, located 2km west-southwest. A little further is bivouac Neugersdorfer Hütte. 4 km northwest of the saddle there is lake Unterer Gerlos See. 4 km southwest from the saddle there is glacier Hohenaukees, 4 km north-northwest from the saddle there is also glacier Weißkarkees. The saddle is located above the valley Krimmler Achental.
