Description:
Großer Angerkogel is 1911 meter high peak and is part of the Dachstein Mountains. The peak is located 2 km northwest of peak Hohe Hosswand. The nearest mountain hut is Adamekhütte, located 4km south-southeast. A little further is Ebenalm. 6 km south-southeast from the summit there is glacier Großer Gosaugletscher, 8 km southeast from the summit there is also glacier Schladminger Gletscher. East-northeast of the summit is the valley Koppental.
