Description:
Kafner is 1876 meter high peak and is part of the Dachstein Mountains. The peak is located 1.7 km west-northwest of peak Hohe Hosswand. The nearest mountain hut is Adamekhütte, located 3km south-southeast. A little further is Badstub'n Hütte. 5 km south-southeast from the summit there is glacier Großer Gosaugletscher, 8 km southeast from the summit there is also glacier Schladminger Gletscher. The peak is located west-southwest of the valley Koppental.
