Hosswandscharte is a saddle at an altitude of 2187 meters and is part of the Dachstein Mountains. The saddle is located 0.4 km southeast of peak Hohe Hosswand. The nearest mountain hut is Adamekhütte, located 1.9km south. A little further is Badstub'n Hütte. 3 km south-southeast from the saddle there is glacier Großer Gosaugletscher, 6 km southeast from the saddle there is also glacier Schladminger Gletscher. East-northeast of the saddle is the valley Koppental.
