Description:
Hosskogel is 2366 meter high peak and is part of the Dachstein Mountains. The peak is located in country Austria 8 km southwest from the center of Hallstatt and 9 km southwest from the center of Obertraun. The nearest mountain hut is Adamekhütte, located 1.8km south-southwest. A little further is Ebenalm. 3 km south from the summit there is glacier Großer Gosaugletscher, 5 km southeast from the summit there is also glacier Schladminger Gletscher. The peak is located southwest of the valley Koppental.
