Description:
Hinterer Brunnenkogel is 3438 meter high peak in the Ötztal Alps. The peak is located 2 km north-northwest of peak Schuchtkogel. The nearest mountain hut is Taschachhaus, located 3km west. A little further is bivouac Rheinland-Pfalz-Biwak. 4 km south from the summit there is glacier Mitterkarferner, 5 km east from the summit there is also glacier Tiefenbachferner. The peak is located east-southeast of the valley Taschachtal.
