Description:
Mittagskogel is 3162 meter high peak with a cross in the Ötztal Alps. The peak is located 1.1 km northeast of peak Mitterkamm. The nearest mountain hut is Braunschweiger Hütte, located 3km east. A little further is bivouac Rheinland-Pfalz-Biwak. 3 km east from the summit there is glacier Karlesferner, 4 km east-southeast from the summit there is also glacier Tiefenbachferner.
