Hinterer Stupfarri is 2896 meter high peak and is part of the Ötztal Alps. The peak is located 1.9 km north-northwest of peak Kleiner Dristkogel. The nearest mountain hut is Gallrutt Alm, located 1.9km southwest. Gsallalm is also relatively close. 3 km south from the summit there is glacier Gallruttferner, 4 km south from the summit there is also glacier Gsallferner. The peak is located in the valley Oberinntal. The peak is located on the ridge Kaunergrat.
