Klausgrabenkogel is 1008 meter high peak and is part of the Salzkammergut Mountains. The peak is located 4 km southwest from the center of Neukirchen bei Altmünster and 6 km south-southwest from the center of Reindlmühl. The nearest mountain hut is Hochsteinalm, located 4km east. Closer is Jageralm, which is located 0.7km to the southeast. 1.2 km south of the peak there is lake Vorderer Langbathsee. Southwest of the summit is the valley Weißenbachtal.
