The peak is located 9 km southwest from the center of Fusch an der Großglocknerstraße and 10 km east from the center of Enzingerboden. The nearest mountain hut is Heinrich Schwaiger Haus, located 1.8km west-southwest. And bivouac Gruberscharten-Biwak is also close by. 0.8 km west-southwest from the summit there is glacier Wielingerkees, 1.0 km east-southeast from the summit there is also glacier Sandbodenkees. The peak is located northwest of the valley Käfertal.
