Sandbodenkopf is 2923 meter high peak located in the High Tauern mountain range. The peak is located in country Austria 8 km south-southwest from the center of Fusch an der Großglocknerstraße and 11 km east from the center of Enzingerboden. The nearest mountain hut is Heinrich Schwaiger Haus, located 2km west-southwest. A little further is bivouac Gruberscharten-Biwak. 0.5 km south-southeast from the summit there is glacier Sandbodenkees, 1.3 km west from the summit there is also glacier Wielingerkees. Southeast of the summit is the valley Käfertal.
