Östlicher Fineilkopf is 3368 meter high peak and is part of the Natural Park Ötztal. The peak is located on the border between the country of Italy and the country of Austria. The nearest mountain hut is Similaunhütte - Rifugio Similaun, located 2km east. A little further is bivouac Ramolalm. 1.4 km west from the summit there is glacier Hochjochferner - Ghiacciaio Giogo Alto, 2 km northeast from the summit there is also glacier Hochjochferner. The peak is located northeast of the valley Schnalstal. The peak is located above the ridge Ötztaler Hauptkamm - Cresta principale Alpi Venoste.
