Piz Cotschen is 3026 meter high peak in the Ortler Alps. The peak is located 5 km north-northwest of peak Geisterspitze - Punta degli Spiriti. The nearest mountain hut is Rifugio Garibaldi - Dreisprachenspitze, located 1.3km south-southwest. A little further is bivouac Locatelli Ninotta. 3 km south-southeast from the summit there is glacier Ebenferner - Vedreta Piana, 5 km southeast from the summit there is also glacier Trafoier Ferner - Vedretta di Trafoi. The peak is located west of the valley Trafoital.
