Description:
Platteneck is 1946 meter high peak in the Tennen Mountains. The peak is located 4 km south from the center of Scheffau am Tennengebirge and 4 km southwest from the center of Oberscheffau. The nearest mountain hut is Leopold-Happisch-Haus, located 3km south. A bit closer is Stefan-Schatzl-Hütte, which is located 1.2km to the east-northeast.
