Schafgebirgspitz is 1768 meter high peak and is part of the Tennen Mountains. The peak is located 5 km south-southwest from the center of Scheffau am Tennengebirge and 5 km south-southwest from the center of Unterscheffau. The nearest mountain hut is Leopold-Happisch-Haus, located 3km south-southeast. Closer is Bergler Hütte, which is located 0.7km to the north-northeast.
