Description:
Schachtkopf is 1642 meter high peak and is part of the Mieminger Mountains. The peak is located 1.9 km west-southwest of peak Sonnenspitze. The nearest mountain hut is Marienbergalm, located 2km south. Closer is bivouac Pavillon with Bar, which is located 1.5km to the northwest. 4 km west of the peak there is lake Blindsee. 8 km northeast from the summit there is glacier Schneeferner.
