Schalwand is 2942 meter high peak in the Ötztal Alps. The peak is located 4 km southwest from the center of Zaunhof and 5 km east from the center of Kaunerberg. The nearest mountain hut is Falkaunsalm, located 2km southwest. Gsallalm is a bit further away. 0.7 km southeast of the peak there is lake Krummer See. 5 km south-southeast from the summit there is glacier Gallruttferner, 6 km south-southeast from the summit there is also glacier Gsallferner. The peak is located in the valley Oberinntal.
