Südlicher Hapmeskopf is 3237 meter high peak and is part of the Ötztal Alps. The peak is located 8 km southwest from the center of Plangeross and 10 km south-southeast from the center of Feichten and 0.3 km south-southwest of peak Nördlicher Hapmeskopf. The nearest mountain hut is Nassereiner Alm, located 5km west-southwest. A little further is Watzeberg hunting lodge. 3 km south from the summit there is glacier Bliggferner, 3 km north-northeast from the summit there is also glacier Wazebachferner. West of the summit is the valley Kaunertal. The peak is located on the ridge Kaunergrat.
