Hello. Although both cameras are very good, I would still give my vote here for Lumix TZ30. This series has been winning awards for the best travel camera for years. In addition to my DSLR, I've been using Lumix as a second camera for years (first TZ3, now TZ25). I could hardly wish for a better camera for use in the mountains. Small dimensions but extremely capable and durable, and wonderful pictures in all conditions.
