Hi...does anyone know the conditions over Škarje to Ojstrica regarding snowfields if someone has been around there recently..I assume there's still snow somewhere or snowfields? thanks

No... I was there on March 8 and left the car where the asphalt ends... can't go further even with 4x4... so on foot nicely to Loka and to the top no big deal

I'm also interested... conditions are such that there's probably more snow I'd go from Bukovnik, how's the road? Thanks.

anyone going these days to Ojstrica- Kopinškova, conditions regarding recent rain or snow... Saturday tempts me if the weather holds... for now forecast ok at least in mountains but has fooled me before... Cheers

Like last year we also headed to the Dolomites this year... specifically Piz Boe via ferrata Brigata Tridentina 23-26.7.14... weather caused some trouble the first day then it was ok.. The path itself super approx. 2.5 hours in ferrata to Piscadu hut and to the top another good 4 hours... personally the Giovanni Lipela ferrata on Tofano Di Rozes seemed harder to me.

ojha.... how tricky that snowfield on Kopinškova is; it can be done without crampons just with an ice axe... how's the condition then towards Škarje back down to Klemenečna... planning for Sunday.. thanks

Just got first-hand info... path is ok otherwise some hard snow with ice axe crampons not needed..

You don't need them or so I'll say if you want to slip into the snowfield under Brana, maybe elsewhere, I didn't have them with me... ice axe is definitely useful

Yesterday on Brana from Okrešlja... path OK, still snowfields above the zigzag... snowfields below Brana can be avoided by going on the path to Cojzova koča and then joining the marked path to Brana on the left... further on the path is dry, cables OK too... visibility was a bit bad because of fog forming from the Kamniška side... regarding Planjava I can't say but I agree with Tadej... ice axe always with you for some time more lp

Oi... it's still not clear to me where on the left you entered the wall, did you cross that junction or go under the snow and turn left on the right ridge?? If you look at that pic I posted 1 pic above...
