Hi,
Wondering how demanding this ferrata is, can you compare to Slovenian ferratas? Are there foot pegs everywhere or pull up on some cables? Girlfriend has no arm strength so not ready for harder stuff, don't want her stuck in wall.... attack in spring 2021

My wife and I were wandering around those parts and of course happily went to check out this homestead too, memories of young years watching Kekec..... and experienced a cold shower. We only managed to drink a coffee, they didn't serve food because they have guests and couldn't offer us anything?!
Both owners kept giving the feeling that we were completely superfluous there, although they didn't chase us away.
We packed up as quickly as possible and had a snack in the hut at Soča....

We were without kids, no rowdiness, and money is no issue.... but more than obviously we weren't welcome and left disappointed. I feel sorry for parents and kids who come there full of joy and experience such unfriendliness. They won't see me again!

Yesterday route done Andrejev dom - Smrekovec. Snow only on road below hut at Smrekovec. In middle section of path quite a few fallen trees, so need to make detour and jump lots of logs Whole path took approx. 7 hours

Jume, given the already fallen amount, forecast for the next days and team's knowledge, I advise against skiing.
No worry, this year snow till late summer, we'll ski more.

smatjaz, I agree with you and thanks for the explanation. To be honest I didn't know what purpose this road serves, since I'm rarely around here. I just wanted to emphasize that although an extra hour for a route doesn't sound much, but at the end of the day when you're using your last atoms of strength, it's huge. And I myself have more than 2 hours by car one way... at the end of the day I'm exhausted
But from now on I'll park below too, safe is safe

This extends the whole tour by approx. 1.5 hours, which is a lot. The tour is very strenuous, the last minutes are always the hardest and instead of being at the car already, you still have approx 40 minutes walking. Not that I'd break regulations, but there are 100x worse roads elsewhere and it's all OK, here they complicate things. Oh, and that in season it's almost impossible to get parking at the hut is standard. And park 10 minutes walk lower below the hut no?!

U&O Went over Razor a few days ago. Path is trodden, snow doesn't sink in, just one fallen tree soon at start, so need to duck a bit Wide and safe path, no slips, suitable for all hikers. Crampons recommended, but possible without them too.

A few days ago I walked the path from Tomišelja to the hut on Krim. The path is dry, except for a few fallen trees that need to be bypassed, normally passable.

Thanks for the replies. We're going only to the hut, the summit will wait for spring days.

Is the path passable for a good Sunday hiker without crampons? Any exposed, avalanche-prone or similar to the hut? How about the path to Begunjščica summit, with crampons and ice axe, worth going to the top? We are a colorful group, beginners and good hikers, with and without crampons, so I'm asking.
