Košutica via Hajnževo sedlo, 31.05.2014
First I ascend the easy western path, where rain soon hits me, summit in fog, so I decide to shelter in the hut at Planina Korošica. After about half an hour weather improves and I head at least to Hajnževo sedlo for some more views. When I spot Košutica again, I decide weather won't spoil my plans and climb up this harder (but very nice) path to the top. Views excellent and in the end really nice tour

Thanks. I'm more interested in the difficulty itself in these conditions, because I don't know the path. Just fighting with snow and steepness, "scree" is no problem. Is there any serious exposure on the path?

Does anyone have info what the path from Tamar to the bivouac under Kotovo sedlo is like now? Winter gear, of course!... and other conditions? Thanks

Planina Korošica, up hunting trail, bit of wandering toward Ljubelj hut, due to impassability for dog (stairs), then return to pasture and back down hunting trail to car. Top still some light snow, but no issues.

In between (before the summit) there is some snow, it's wise to cross it with crampons and ice axe, but it's possible to bypass it and "climb a bit". When I went up, the snow was untouched...

Well, by the footprints, we were the only ones today who went directly to Kofce gora and then further. The path disappears before the summit, then everyone goes a bit their own way. There was a crowd on Veliki vrh though. Nice spots, no doubt!

Today so clear that I even had a view of Kofce gora, Toplar and Veliki vrh... approx. 150m before Kofce gora summit the path gets lost under snow, then by feel...

Then I saw your footprints that bypassed steep snow before summit and climbed a bit on own?

Today Kofce gora - rain, wind, fog, on the top snowing, but still very nice

Today Mrežce from Planina Zajavornik. Path to Blejska hut ok, packed, further south snow that sinks in, so some energy spent, almost wished for touring skis, but worth it
