On Sunday, 10.06., a group of somewhat older hikers from Prekmurje carried out a real small feat. After 10 years, we are 10 years older, we climbed Bosova grapa and ascended to Brana via Kaptan. The path is very difficult, beautiful, but it must be emphasized that it is suitable only for the brave and experienced. Pictures are available at http://www.pdmaticams-drustvo.si/

This Sunday the path led the group of Prekmurje hikers to Veliki Vrh and Zelenica via Robanov Kot. No snow, the path was nice, hot and long. Pictures from the hike are available at the club's website address. http://www.pdmaticams-drustvo.si/

Bavški Grintavec is a mighty mountain that shows its might also with a very difficult approach. That it's really so we experienced too with our approach over Bavščica and descent past abandoned villages to the Soča river. The path from Bavšica- but not over saddle Kanja is very demanding and extremely steep that takes us over the pass to the ridge peaks. The path is crumbly and dangerous and I don't recommend it to inexperienced, but it's marked although you have to be extremely careful due to faded markings. Pictures from the hike available

On Sunday a group of three Prekmurje hikers headed to Storžič. We chose the path leading over Velika Poljana and Psica to Storžič summit. The path over Psica is very demanding with lots of ups and downs and very adrenaline-packed. It is necessary to emphasize that the path is very steep, crumbly and requires great care; helmets are recommended too. From Storžič we returned via circular path over planina Javornik. This path is well marked from the hut on planina but in very bad condition due to lots of fallen trees. Hike photos are available at http://www.pdmaticams-drustvo.si/ Peter

A nice sunny day took us to the sunny idyll of visiting Golica. The weather was wonderful with plenty of snow. We chose the winter approach which went to the hut under Golica on a compacted snow path without sinking. From the hut we went directly up, where there was no track anymore and we had to break it. Pictures of the hike available at http://www.pdmaticams-drustvo.si/ photo album.

Oh hey Žigec, why then do you go to mountains and shit behind rocks, leave your pampered ass better at home. As for costs, don't babble such nonsense. Abroad costs are the same or even higher, conditions much better, it's simply profiteering.

It's true what some write that hut condition is visitor's responsibility but true is that visitor pays for hut maintenance or cleaning in price of his tea, beer, overnight. As for that hut matter is quite clear, both summer and winter hut not maintained not cleaned in short WCs stink shells puked on etc. Entrance door without glass inventory very bad shape. Winter hut cold rooms below zero and god forbid if you want to sleep. Meteorologists friendly try all praise but hut even closed still has keeper who imo doesn't deserve care for such hut. Don't forget dear visitors we are still hut guests and huts must be properly kept even winter since if you like they are our tourism mirror too.

What are your feelings regarding the condition of the hut at kredarica ?. Question addressed to all both summer and winter visitors. If I start with mine I can write for summer as well as winter just one word disaster and where is the sanitary and tax inspection here.

How long did it take you to climb the ferrata.

The path to Kogel is really a pathless path, which showed already in the morning when we faced the dilemma of right or left side of the track. Luckily at the upper parking we turned to the right side of the track. The path is extremely steep and becomes technically very demanding in bad weather - fog. And the fog itself and unusually trodden path towards the climbing area under Kogel led us to first turn up the scree. After correcting the mistake we crossed the path via Koglova ledge, which is extremely steep and dangerous. Much better variant is the lower path that leads to the cables. I don't recommend the path over Koglova ledge, especially in damp foggy conditions. Pictures from the hike are posted at: http://www.pdmaticams-drustvo.si/

On the last Sunday in August, a group of five Prekmurje hikers set off on the path via Zadnjica and Komar to Dolič. In Prekmurje style, over ass and little pine to Dolič. Although the forecast wasn't favorable and rain and clouds accompanied us on the way from Prekmurje, it later turned out that the decision for the hike wasn't wrong. The path via Komar is very nice, in places almost adrenaline-packed, but not too difficult. Despite multiple stops for bread and water by our hiking legends, we walked the path with persistence. Pictures from the path for your easier decision are available at http://www.pdmaticams-drustvo.si/ Greetings also to the friend who joined us on the path. Peter

Sunday a group of five Prekmurje hiking enthusiasts visited Kepa. Got up at 4am and drove through whole Slovenia via Karawanks tunnel to tour start. Chose village Spodnje Rute or parking before abandoned farm as start. From parking path past torrential stream, partly road 380,381 partly forest to hut under Kepa Bertahutte. After good two hours arrived hut drank obligatory tea and headed to Kepa. Path chosen poorly marked for experienced mountaineers who dabble in alpinism. Path exposed ridge, sheer and unprotected. Only faded old marks dots arrows and new staples help. After less than three hours slow careful ascent reached Predvrh with first cross-second cross on summit less 5 min walk. Returned normal hiking path. Definitely recommend Kepa visit to experienced hikers of such paths or natural ferratas with gear helmet harness and rope. A group of three enthusiasts visited the Travnik summit on Sunday 22.06.2014. The Travnik summit is at an altitude of 2258 meters, and is one of the less-visited Slovenian summits. Access to the Travnik summit is not difficult but long. Since there are no markings from the hut about the middle of the path, some searching is needed. I definitely recommend the path to the enduring and those seeking more than usual hiking paths. Link to pics http://www.pdmaticams-drustvo.si/
