Hello, I'm interested if anyone knows more, why the road from Bistrica (junction before the cable car station to Vel. planina) to Markova ravan is closed. I assume it's damaged in several places or heavily damaged from those storms. Best regards Peter

I didn't find any answer when searching, the subforum isn't the most appropriate either, but anyway. I don't know the Julians well. I'm interested in a suggestion for a one-day circular hike from Kriški Podi (start from Zadnjica), to conquer say 2 peaks, or whatever routes others have done. Fitness is not an issue. I also go from Kraljev hrib via Planina Dol and Pl. Rzenik to Konj. But this season I finally went for the first time from Bela (on the path to Korošica) over Prešedljaj and it was great, I'll probably repeat it soon.

Yeah at 4am surely no one has a problem with parking.. or do they.
But that doesn't make me laugh at all, when at 14h on the way back from Konc dol I meet a tourist who doesn't know where he's driving, and possibly totally unprepared to meet/pull aside.

Ljubitelj gora I think wanted to say that it would be correct that full-day hikers early in the morning first fill that parking spot at start of ascent to saddle, with that I agree too. But some quite early (when up there still all empty) park below the hut. Well that's probably one of the smaller problems anyway.

Oh pardon, I somehow thought it was like the dad writing and going with them. I agree with the previous ones, the hunting path isn't marked and if nothing else, it's a bit demanding because of that.

Probably easy, especially via the hunters' path from Žagana peč.. also over the saddle I think bp.

For Stenar nothing, for Križ I don't know, but since many have walked it, probably not either.

What about weather conditions? Today is Wednesday, until Saturday there are still three days.

Was there last Saturday. Actually from Zadnjica over Luknja to Bovški Gamsovec, Stenar, return via Kriške pode. Dry. Safe steps!

The road is worse in some sections, but overall pretty solid. It'll shake your car to pieces if you drive in second or even third where it's worst (that's how most would prefer to drive or do drive). Slowly, when you see a pothole, ditch,... in first gear and at a snail's pace, that's the basis, and it goes with any car. By this rule only height is the issue, but again if you go really slowly and scrape a bit on the sill, most likely nothing.

@forzicija, so that's the so-called Žirovniška path?

I was also very surprised last year when I saw in SSKJ that gaz is also masculine. Here on the forum I've heard it for the first time and rarely e.g. 'we walked along the gaz' - it really sounds weird. Mostly it's used as what I'd say the correct feminine gender. Ask the elders if it's that gaz, they'll be amazed.

Lijaneja, just a small correction, the pilot of the crashed plane was a Swede. He did take off from Zagreb though.
