Hike along the peaks rising on the eastern side of the Krma valley.
Starting point: Rudno Polje
Trail length: 15 km
Trail route (conquered peaks): Rudno Polje - Viševnik, 2050 m – Debeli vrh nad Lipanco, 1962 m – Mrežce, 1965 m - Lipanski vrh, 1974 m – Brda, 2008 m – Debela Peč, 2014 m - Rudno Polje

Most of the ascent on the trail is from the starting point at Rudno Polje to Viševnik. We continue over Srenjski preval past Mali Draški Vrh and Veliki Selišnik to Debeli vrh nad Lipanco. The path is well visible and also marked. In between it's overgrown with bushes, but we reach the summit without problems. From there we walk along the ridge over Mrežce to Lipanski vrh. The path in this section is somewhat exposed but well protected. A descent to Lipanska vrata follows and then ascent to the second two-thousander of the day - Brda. To there we go alone, only chamois keep us company, freely strolling across steep slopes. From Brda we descend again, but only to the path leading from Lipance to Debela Peč. There we also join numerous hikers climbing to the last two-thousander in this ridge - Debela Peč. The last descent follows, namely to Lipance, from where along a very pleasant path through Pokljuka forest we arrive at Rudno Polje.

Under Debeli vrh we picked up a touring ski, which the owner can get from me. nasmeh

Both paths to Gamsovec are dry, if someone plans in coming days. We were with cousin yesterday up.

Safe step,
Mirko

Short video of Krn Lake, recorded last Friday. Krn Lake is truly wonderful even at this time, caught between winter and spring.

Short video and a few pics from the hike to Cmir, September 5 this year. It was planned to edit the video earlier so it could be useful to someone for an easier idea of the path, but I ran out of time or the snow in the mountains overtook me. Ascent via Lojze Rekar's path over Vrbanove špice, descent past Staničev dom.

Good luck and safe in the mountains, Mirko

Sour autumn weather is just right for sorting summer memories. I made a short video from August 21, when we went to see the sunrise on Begunjski Peak. Since the weather was really nice, we then circled Rž as well. Video at the link: Sunrise on Begunjski Peak and hike around Rž, 21.8.2020

Safe steps in the mountains and all the best.

Short video from the hike to Krsteniški and Jezerski Stog, and the rocky loners Adam and Eva. We intended to conquer also Prevalski Stog, but due to thick fog decided to go back. At the end we barely escaped the rain too. Video at the link: Krsteniški Stog, Jezerski Stog, Adam and Eva, 16.8.2020

Safe steps.

On the last July evening we set off from Krnica to watch the sunrise on our highest peak. For the ascent from Planika we chose the path Through Škrbina, descended via Mali Triglav. You can watch a short video and detailed route description on the link: Sunrise on Triglav, 1.8.2020

Safe steps in the mountains and best regards, Mirko

Polh, at least 4 slept in the bivouac under Skuta that night, as I chatted with them a bit. For the bivouac under Grintovec I really don't know.

Hi, on Saturday 4.7. I finally went to Skuta. nasmeh For ascent I chose pathless terrain over Žmavčarje, to the valley I returned over Kokrsko sedlo. Both paths are normally passable without winter gear. Protections are in excellent condition. For easier idea about the path I made a short video, which is at this link: Skuta (2532 m), 4.7.2020

Hope it helps someone in planning ascent to Skuta. nasmeh
Safe steps in mountains and best, Mirko.

On Saturday, 27.6.2020 we did a hike whose idea we got already when we were limited to our municipality area... We thought to go from home to the highest peak of Gorje... and went to Rjavina. Already before departure we learned the highest peak of our municipality is Mali Triglav, but the original idea was much more interesting anyway. Up via Ržki podi on the Ridge path. Back to Krma via Temen. No winter gear needed for any path anymore. Just want to mention that to me the ridge path seems very demanding, and not just demanding.

Hi. Has anyone gone recently on the path over Žmavčarje and past the bivouac to Skuta? Just wondering if winter gear is still needed? Thanks for help and safe steps in the mountains. nasmeh

Hi, at the end of the week we plan to go from Krma to Rjavina. Up via path over Teme and then descent via Grebenska path. From posts above it seems both paths are dry or single snowfields are bypassable... Anyway, if someone hiked these paths recently, is winter gear still needed by chance? Many thanks for reply in advance. Best, Mirko

Hi, last week I was on Bavški Grintavec from Soča. The path is snow-free, markings are clearly visible. At the top there is a stamp and logbook. Attaching some pics and a short video for a better idea of the path.
