Gailer Hengst is really a top via ferrata Masterpiece...Definitely, at least in my opinion more demanding than Griffen!!...

That section is realistically not even close to the real rating (F)...It's slightly overhanging 12m, which can be climbed with good climbing technique and quick SVK switching in less than a minute...(E/F) - but one of the easiest, if not the easiest, if we compare to similarly rated ferratas abroad...

Problem with ferratas which are more popular year by year is just that many people who go into ferrata don't even know their abilities let alone choose a suitable tour for themselves...Guides who take about 50-80€ per person they get over the ferrata of course work on quantity and don't care at that moment how long they'll drag their clients over the ferrata...

Red/more demanding via ferrata is nicely routed, nicest section to me were slabs between both small bridges in gorge...Regarding grades...Entry D/E, slabs between bridges D, that ca. 10m jump right below summit sheer E...Overall very nice via ferrata which is also well made (materials ok)...To me shade easier than Sp.plot and harder than Gonžarjeva peč then long long nothing then Jerma'n..

primoza...considering that you always have doubts about the reality of the rating on Sp.plot, which might really jump from E to E/F (in case you don't stand on anchor bolts and don't hang in SVK on every pitch).., it really depends a lot on daily form...Considering that I noticed on the Jerman ferrata sign, difficulty rating D, (individual spots E), then on plot it can be also (F)...

Record holder, I think, even generally regarding Gonžar who lives near the ferrata has cca...2700+ ascents, for an amateur athlete with lots of fitness and good climbing technique 10 ascents is somehow expected and normal number, especially if from ferrata top walk on foot and don't climb down the wall... Jurc89... Gonžarjeva is more demanding than via ferrata Jerm'n... You can climb Jerm'n even if the wall is damp because there are substantially too many brackets in it...

Bravo Uroš...This via ferrata is really something special as all D/E sections are harder than the one rated E...Good they shot so many pegs into the wall otherwise rescuers would burn out...It's one continuous overhanging traverse on certain sections that goes a good 200m right and likewise 200m left...In this via ferrata you can see lots of scenes like drying salami in the attic

Mojstrana ferrata; I think comment not needed at all...All noteworthy on it is nice view...But I believe jams happen there when guides for easy money drag in larger group...(capraibex) Primož talks about beginner sport climbing course, sometimes need to read well!!...Primož

If we expect via ferratas like e.g. Seewand, Kaiser Max, Rino Pisseta, Johan, Sky Walk etc. here, then we wait in vain... There is no ear for such things; some endangered bird species nesting there will be found immediately etc... etc... Although in the end everyone likes €€€$$$

Ožarjeni kamen and the via ferrata chimney with wide ledges equipped last year unfortunately, due to the very method of construction (drills instead of expansion bolts/anchors)...), are not quite in step with the times and do not meet all conditions to get the official green light from the competent institutions..... Certainly we have conditions for new via ferratas, even the extreme ones... I hope development will go in the right direction following the example of Zelenice and Gonžarjeva peč...
