I've thrown a bone to chew on, I'm interested in what others think about this topic. Or am I really so "old-school" that I no longer understand these modern times at all.

Anyway, for some time I've been noticing that almost like mushrooms after rain, various so-called influencers are springing up, who film their hikes in the mountains, with obligatory overnight stay either on top of the mountain (of course also in TNP) or just anywhere in the forest. They also break some firewood, light a fire, fry a piece of meat etc., next day they continue. Two specimens of this new species in the picture below. With this I always wonder again if these people even have permission from the forest owner for such activities. Is "camping" anywhere really allowed, even in TNP on mountain tops?
And as it seems such videos "sell well", so there are more and more of these »jun(BED)aks«.

The path to Krim from Jezero direction is practically dry. From Iška direction only the last 15 min of the path is still under snow. Some caution is needed especially downhill on the snowy part, as it's quite smooth in places.

11.1.2026 -> Železniki - Ratitovec
First part of steep path through forest has very little snow, a bit more then to Draboslovica and on to Prtovč. First time walked this part of the path, which is quite steep, but I really like it. Over this part (from Železniki to Prtovč) maybe two pairs of feet went, so some tracks were there. From Prtovč on, of course "highway". No ice, crampons stayed in backpack.

Does anyone happen to have info on the path from Železniki? Is it trodden?

At the car -11°C, but no big deal, the "machine" warmed up quickly. Very little snow indeed. At Prgarca put on crampons. Some 100-200m (lengthwise) above Prgarca the track splits, worth the right variant if crampons on as it's all snow. Left variant bare and rocky in many places. At Kalvarija strong wind started blowing and carrying snow. But no biggie, we hunkered down. On the descent wind calmed, at times quite warm. Road drivable with care, black ice spots. Thanks to Lijaneja for detailed road info. Much easier to decide for the tour.

Path to Grintovec from Kamniška Bistrica - no cheating. To be honest even with a detour, as I was so lost in thought that at the bend I forgot to "turn off" and suddenly found myself on Jermanca. Yeah, sometimes it's better not to think too much. Then nicely back and to the right side. Snow is just a sample, really starts around the bench or higher. Crampons on at forest exit when I bite into the steep under the saddle. Roof also very poor in snow. Wind was quite strong and in places no tracks/gaz, as wind drifted it. But with so little snow, no problem.

Some probably ruined their beautiful day and expensive parking on return. I don't understand why extra 15-20 min walk is a problem, since you don't go to Grintovec at the limit of ability.

Near Koča pri Triglavskih jezerih. Larger snake (photographed in green), was nicely sunbathing in the middle of the path so almost stepped on it, but it quickly slipped into the greenery. What snake it is experts will say (looks like adder to me).

But you have to be quite a masochist to want to sleep at Kredarica or any other hut under Triglav.

Best not to park anywhere now and not go near Triglav, because it's desperate all around. Unless you have a special desire to queue up to the top of Triglav. Tourists (Slov+foreign, no mistake) are way too many and I don't know how this will end, it's getting worse year by year. Crowd around Triglav indescribable, people don't know how to behave, no peace anymore, etc. Yesterday also at/on Bohinj Lake, like at a city swimming pool. All together grotesque, becoming an amusement park. And this is supposed to be TNP.

Can someone tell me what's the fun in someone pulling thread/string (locally: cvirn) along almost half of the hunting path by Lake Bohinj. Today I picked it up and there was a whole handful, and probably some still left somewhere. To some it seems it'll never be clear how to behave in nature...

Today from Strahomer to Krim (via Strmec). No snow left anywhere, the path is completely bare. But in the lower part all white, as snowdrops and anemones are blooming. No photos, because it was drizzling lightly and no desire to pull the mobile from the backpack.

Just today I came across one of the signs and wondered what kind of trail it is.

Yes, at BUS station in Stara Fužina, right before bridge, big signs (left direction) for Korita Mostnice, Blato, Vogar, Voje, ... Just follow main road, it will take you in 10min past parking and barrier where park for e.g. trip to Vogar. You follow asphalt road uphill and watch signs for Voje, as road forks left to Vogar, Blato, right to Voje. Prepare for quite long not very interesting walk on Voje valley road. You'll go past mountain home in Vojah, then before end of valley watch out, path to Triglav or Vodnikov dom branches left from road. There is sign but can miss it if daydreaming on road.

Agree as turbo wrote. Easiest and simplest variant is direct BUS from Lj.
