Ordinary (mountain) bike tires hold pretty well in these conditions. You don't need snow chains. These guys are experienced and have biked stuff harder than Kredarica in snow seems to some. On the bike they're as safe as some of you on two ice axes (or one, depending on practice) and crampons or microspikes
That it's TNP and forbidden there is another story... with us it's easier to ban things than to regulate them.

I see the debate (as often on the forum) went in a different direction from intended. I have full gear and know how to use it. Interested only because someone in group has only SMALL CRAMPONS so wanted conditions to see if we go there or elsewhere. Thanks.

I was up there on 26.12. There is still some snow at the top, I recommend crampons, mainly from the upper half of the forest onwards (if you go via Preval). You can still go up somehow without, but down it can be a lottery
