Update:
They removed the logs yesterday, but there's a truck on the road about 100m before Kovinarska, they have a cable rigged for lowering logs, so can't get past by car. Best to park in Kurja vas and 5km warm-up to the barrier mežikanje
Sheriffs apparently like to patrol a lot, they were in the valley on Saturday too.

Otherwise conditions yesterday solid, dry to Prgarca, I went a bit to check Kurica, but thaw, snow collapsing ahead, not much fun. From about 2000m snow persists, but as said it's pretty rotten and collapses, the calvary is real calvary, two steps up one down. Weather top.
At Kredarica two guides each with their pair of tourists, and two individuals we kept company to the newly arrived meteorologist and soldier. Entry to the wall wet, traverses mix of drytooling and poking into wet snow, but everything holds very well, most pitons already out. Ridge snowy and nice, tower except flag resting in blanket nasmeh

Hi, has anyone been up there recently? I assume the road to Krma is still closed, does anyone know if you can get to Kovinarska? I'll just have a warm-up to the barrier velik nasmeh
Thanks

So I assume one can drive to the end in Krma? What's the road like, drivable for us ordinary mortals or only for 20cm+ vehicles? nasmeh

Has anyone started from Kamniška Bistrica (parking at the end)? How far by car and where footpath starts?/conditions? =)
Thanks

@anč, we misunderstood, with supergami I meant Nikes, which are nicely black and white, look good on Instagram pics zavijanje z očmi
I also ran in mountain boots, of course that's a whole different world than what some wear - maybe from Deichmann for 16eur, but nice for pics huh zavijanje z očmi velik nasmeh
I think everyone met such a "Czech" slipping on wet limestone at 2000m with worn soles ...

Again agree with @mosovnik, for high mountains high boots, gojzarji ... I do most ascents in them, but admit (esp on known trails) I crave faster pace and take running backpack and trail shoes. Still say mountain running ain't safe and don't promote it. But once you start, hard to quit this great sport.
Don't wanna clutter thread more, back to folks with conditions info and day on our daddy nasmeh

Today hopped from Krma to Kredarica and summit.
Lower part completely dry, below Prgarca quite some water on path, flowing from livestock troughs (cows cheerfully greet along the way velik nasmeh ) so a bit of care on slippery limestone not amiss.
Below Kalvarija some smaller snow patches - no problem cross or bypass.
But quite some mud due to melting of last snow below Kredarica.

Only "problem" with snow is at entry to climbing part, when descending from Kredarica towards start of path below little Triglav. About 100m very steep section still deep in snow, otherwise snow softens already in morning, but caution not amiss. All who don't carry ice axe besides, highly recommend not leaving hiking poles at hut, but carry them for this part, as they come in very handy crossing this snow patch.
"Depot" for hiking poles was right below first bolt, where snow ends and step on rock.
Further completely no problem, just some small "patches" of snow which can be bypassed.
Weather today favorable, just before 9 on summit some fog that didn't allow great views, but quickly moved towards valley further.

p.s. "jam" was right in technical part below little Triglav, because quite a few Czechs/Slovaks piled up there and didn't let past, but visibly inexperienced and nicely cautious progressing. Nice to see they use complete self-belay gear and no "super g" masters seen.
Throughout whole tour met way more foreigners than locals. Holidays noticeable here.
Last parking in Krma also dominated by foreign plates.
Despite quite some groups on path I pushed a bit from start and reached Prgarca in 58min, then relaxed and on summit in 2h 45min
Anyway nice day on our Roof nasmeh

Hope the info on conditions helps someone.

Nice mountaineering greeting

As far as I saw on Strava, Luka Kovačič ran to Spik today, try to find the answer from him nasmeh

I was last week, anyway from Prgarca on patches of serious snow start slowly, around 2000m constant snow. Keep in mind, if not early enough, snow sinks deep (even to knees (or hips if you miss a step and hit a hole zavijanje z očmi) )
So when you hit snow better put spikes on boots... From Kredarica to summit is tricky, so ice axe in hand and head straight, few hours behind a hiker slipped... On the ledge rotten snow, under it ice, but fixed ropes mostly out so with proper steps always safe.
Good luck mežikanje

Here, today four of us sleepless set off at 5:30 from Styria straight to the top nasmeh
The road is so-so, from Črna past the ski area and right up asphalt still OK (here you can see consequences of quite extensive windfall/avalanches? That hit the area), when macadam starts, icy patches begin too.
No one at the lower parking yet, just an indicator that most start the hike from here. Since time was chasing us a bit, we decide to try our luck and drive further.
We got only about 200m to the first hill, where tires due to thick ice layer and morning temp (-9) gave up and we had to put on chains. Then no problems to the top.
The path well trodden all the way, at least microspikes welcome to the hut because high chance of awkward fall.
The hut was closed despite weekend and later very sunny nice day.
Further on the path trodden but frozen, so from here recommend real crampons, although most hikers are content with micros, which I personally don't support, but still better than the guy we met descending, sliding in summer light hiking boots, no aids.
The top is windy, as almost always on Peca the wind was blowing everyone towards the valley who visited this beauty above homeland of our ski champion.
On descent met a couple of people seeking sun rays in heights.
Sun by noon warmed the icy road surface well, so descent drive much easier than ascent.
In short, nice Sunday trip nasmeh
Warm regards

Does anyone know how far you can drive with the car? Assuming not quite to the upper parking?
