We went to Veliko Kladivo then along whole ridge to Veliki vrh.

Crampons useful. At top of Kladivo frozen hard snow. Friend's phone fell from hand and 'rode' down snow over cliff to Austria.

On 28.2.2019 I took leave and finally headed to Stol

Parked car some 15 min before Valvasor hut and continued on foot.

First hour easy path, walk then bit uphill. Weather fantastic, too warm for season, could go in short sleeves.

But when real ascent starts, crampons recommended (possible without but careful). On summit gusts of strong wind remind it's midwinter

On Stol summit 12 degrees, sun, Julian Alps in the palm of the hand

For tomorrow I plan to take the day off and treat myself to the ascent on Debela peč.

The weather should be dreamy, before thunderstorms come again.

Can you get to the hut in Tamar too, I assume?

So tomorrow to Debela peč from starting point Šport Hotel. Of course careful with crampons. Yes or no?
