@Lunatixz, since I'm planning something similar, as self-sufficient as possible for autumn, I'm interested what you did with food and water, did you supply in huts or had food with you, water refilled along the trail?

Via ferrata Julija today. Winter gear not needed.

From Plešivec you can continue north to the first peak in the ridge, Ušje. To there you push through the bushes through "tunnels" or some kind of rocky ditches where bushes don't grow. But you have to go on your knees several times. From Ušje there is a cleared path through the bushes at the top, later you have to follow a modest track downhill through the forest to the junction with the path Pokopališče v Trenti - Staro Utro.
I did the tour in the opposite direction, from Ušje to Srebrnjak.

Super report on (at least to me) unknown part of the Dolomites.
AI19. 10. 2021 12:12:00
Yes, it's true.
But as Alessio wrote in topic Vrh Dunje, the problem is the markers who are mostly elderly, work mostly voluntary.
Where path goes through brushwood, can be followed somehow, though quite some brush needs cutting. On grass lack stones where marks can be painted, so not everywhere immediately clear where path goes. There it would be good to put stakes.
On the other hand traffic from this side is quite rare, tour gets a bit of adventurous flair. nasmeh

Second stage of the traverse, Sunday, 17.10.2021
village Dunja - Dunjski vrh (Vrh Dunje) - Lipnik - Bieliga
In the morning in Mojstrana observing cloud-covered peaks and low snow line, I'm a bit worried that the long drive will be in vain. Still I continue and when descending from Žabnica towards Tablja (Pontebba), the weather improves, no snow visible on peaks either. But when in Dunja I see the NE side of Zuc dal Bora completely snow-free, I finally breathe easy. Really don't want snow on an autumn tour.
To avoid walking along the road on return, I use the bike again. Leave it in the gully at the start of (new) path 601 and drive by car to the starting point in village Dunja.
Leave the road to hamlet Chiout Pupin at the second hairpin and step onto path 602. The concreted path climbs in switchbacks and leads to the top of the hillock where a couple of houses stand. Continue on cart track which soon ends and turns into path. First few meters above gully the path goes over metal bridge/platform, then turns into wonderful path. Quite steep but very even path leads through nice pine forest to top of Clap Forat. Here Dunjski vrh appears. Looks close but looks deceive. After descent to saddle Mincigos, where path 602a leads to valley, the path shoots steeply up. Behind rise Cuel Formian things get a bit complicated. Very steep path somewhat follows "tunnel" through brushwood, somewhat crosses open grass. Among brushwood the saw on my Victor Inox often "sings" and unruly branches learn olive shape. Pity I don't have gardening "Gardena" with me. A few times I wander a bit to find path continuation. Off path on steep grass you can quickly slip or drown in brush. A bit below summit path crosses to west side where there are patches of snow. Passage to summit no longer problematic and soon I'm up.
Summit is really exceptional viewpoint, visibility incredible. Karnic Alps like on palm. In distance spot Peralbo and Coglians. View of Montaž stuns me. Profile from this direction is really exceptional. Can't turn away gaze, which is visible in pictures too nasmeh.
In complete calm and solitude I lie on summit. If I could, I'd stretch the day to infinity.
Continue towards Lipnik. Path is cut through brush and nicely passable. Obviously main path to summit comes from Lipnik direction. Path soon leaves ridge and drops deep below it. Below Lipnik it becomes obvious that Dunjski vrh didn't seem important to military strategists in WWI, so they didn't build any military path to it. But Lipnik is full of them. Leave the path that turns into tunnel and crosses grassy slope and climb unmarked mule track towards Lipnik. Below summit step on marked path coming from saddle Clap di Jovel and ascend to top. Lipnik doesn't lag in views either. It's also right in the "line" of the rest of the ridge.
Descend to saddle Clap di Jovel and step on path 601 coming from north. Soon turns into wide grassy mule track. When I spot huts on Planina Bieliga, take it directly down across meadow past planina to signpost where road and path 601 meet and start of 649. Down the already known (new) path 601 to road. Nicely laid mule track is real balm for feet. Bike waiting. On descent along road I look at boards with old photos of road through Dunja. In places it was routed quite differently than today. When driving by car you don't notice such things.
At start sad that day is over. Fantastic day and exactly such tour.

Very nice and adventurous tour. Congratulations.
Hiked Primus twice. Once we turned up through the slope under Srednja špica and went to Lipnik, then down Bulfon.
Second time I took the same as you and continued to saddle Čez Potoče, jumped also to Lemež, then descended the normal route because darkness was near.
Both "wegs" are only on Sidarta map, Julijske Alpe, 1:50000. I gave them GPS tracks wishing historical paths not forgotten.
On picture 7 a trail branches right that also goes to Kozji breg, but higher than Bulfon. It is quite damaged from past earthquakes, most from the one causing the rockfall that buried the path to Zaslape. Crossing the rockfall site is quite dangerous, similar to crossing debris under Javoršček, only no one cut the path. I helped myself with ice axe.

I like Jovan's "theory" about three-headed Labrje the most. It has three distinct peaks, maps mark only the highest.
AI28. 09. 2021 17:18:09
@Hammond
I can't claim there are no other options. In the opposite direction that abseil pillar definitely prevents access without serious climbing.
But maybe from the south. Steep grass broken by rock steps doesn't look appealing, perhaps most promising is the gully between peaks 2 and 3, where the first abseil ends.
Maybe soon the south access specialist will say more winking.
AI28. 09. 2021 12:17:40
@Žajtam: with the name it's like this, on DTK25 and Sidartina Bohinj map it's Vrh Labrje, same on Mapy.cz. Unfortunately not marked on Geopedija, nor mentioned in Mihelič's JA guide from 1993. Only PZS JA map, Western part, marks it as Vrh Labrja. If you have additional sources, I'm all ears. But I agree that in Slovenian Labrja sounds better or more correct.
@Lijaneja: since I took photos on all main peaks, say there are three, I used the same method with photo timestamp to find corresponding GPS points and check height. GPS does fluctuate a bit, so I'm giving an average value of a few points at roughly the same spot:
1. peak (photos 17 and 18, where you were): 2306 m a.s.l. (which matches your measurement well)
2. peak (photo 21): 2313 m a.s.l.

On the panorama cutout from Plaski Vogel the height ratio is clearly visible, so it'll be fine.
AI28. 09. 2021 09:47:23
This mysterious Vrh Labrje requires more detailed analysis. Maps are not much help; even on Sidartin's Bohinj 1:25000, it is not possible to exactly determine the location on the ridge.
So I used DTK25 maps, where the ridge matches sheet 1123. I loaded it in Ozi Explorer and added my GPS track trimmed to only the ridge between V. Špica and Plaški Vogel. I cleaned the track of redundant and "floating" points.
Then I compared the data of the point matching the Vrh Labrje location on the map with the timestamps in my pics. It turns out it's, from my side, the third/highest peak after the first abseil, visible in pic 21 or where panorama 24 was taken. Since it's the highest of the three distinct peaks, it's logical.
On Jovan's pic it's the peak under the letters "tro".
AI27. 09. 2021 15:17:15
@lijaneja
Where roughly did you go up? If I look at your pic 26, I assume the gully that cuts the wall?
Edit:
since I didn't see from south ridge, from that Jovan's pic I see you went to the right peak of three-headed Labrje. Previously thought middle one. From left passage to it my pic 19. How from right, don't remember.

Day of ridge traverses
When I recently found the description of this traverse and admired Jovan's wonderful pictures and others, I was just waiting for a suitable day to visit these ends I love so much again. The last weekend was one of the nicest this year, so it was easy to choose the right tour.
Based on both last year's descriptions, I chose the direction from V. Špičje towards Plaški Vogel. Abseils usually mean it's quite difficult the other way.
At Vršič, I'm surprised by the view of the foggy layer covering Trenta at 1300m. Quite an autumn scene.
I park at the ramp above Na skali village. The lower road section to the village is under repair and closed weekdays 8-16.
Soon I pick up the path to Ravno dol. Breaking through the cloud layer, I see the sad scene of last year's storm damage. Forest literally devastated. Foresters cleared it this year, so you can pass, though no path left. Mood improves at wonderful Ravno dol. Soon I tackle the scree to Tumova. I know the passage but don't look forward to it. Only high up the scree ends and passage opens left to the ridge where the traverse goes. Searching best passages, soon on Velikošpičje ridge and marked path. Meet first hikers, not crowded. After short snack and photos, continue on ridge, time flies. Weather wonderful.
From V. Špice ridge drops deep to lowest traverse point. Only detour here; south side. Spot faint path remnants in scree leading to good ascent spot back to ridge. No need to leave ridge further. If Vrh Labrje is the ridge between V. Špičje and Plaški Vogel, it has three distinct peaks. From first descend deep notch. Descent end is nasty exposed traverse. Soon to window hiding weak point of middle peak, hardest access. Flat ridge ends abruptly. Mid-slab anchor for descent. Pegs good. Check prusik, no age signs, don't change. Confirm 30m rope enough for both abseils. But abseil airy. Climb to third, highest peak, ridge ahead tamer, snack time. Stroll ends abruptly. Surely second abseil. Yes, below edge two solid pegs, one old one newer prusik. Carabiner at anchor. During descent check right slabs climb. Looks at least IV, rock not best. No weak points left/right. Yeah, this "guard" blocks ridge passage well; no suitable opposite way.
To Plaški Vogel no issues, ridge walking lovely. Narrow col you walk right on top. Plaški Vogel opens view to finest Julian corner, Travniška valley. Ridge took good 2.5 hours, time left to continue to Velika vrata. Jovan's Vršac ridge descent pics opened eyes. Till now always right gully to Vršac, ridge looked harder than reality. Enjoyable scrambling to first summit then main Vršac. Find right passage to notch, down to Mala Vrata, continue elegant Čelo ridge. Only descent left, snack and meditation with godly view.
Skip Glava za bajto, below summit left to distinct ledge. Follow dense cairns through tricky terrain. Variant over Glava za bajto summit more complicated, dusk near.
Below wall at Velika vrata to marked path. Shame day short, gladly to Kal too. Dash to planina Za skalo. Deer bugling everywhere. Sun hides behind hills at planina. Sit bit, relive great day.
In dusk down hunter's path back to car.
Thanks all predecessors for info and pics, unlikely I'd have done it without them.
